Every dog that visits us, whether for the day or for an extended stay, will be happy and healthy from all-day-play!

Centrally located near Downtown, PPD, Hanover Regional Hospital, UNCW, and only ten minutes from Leland.

All dogs over one year need to visit us for a four-hour introduction to be sure this is an environment that makes your dog happy. Proof of DHLPP, rabies, and bordatella vaccines required.

Dogs At Play was opened October 8th of 2001 at 37 Covil Ave. We were the first doggy daycare in the Wilmington area. On April 3rd of 2006 our doors proudly re-opened at 2129 Wrightsville Ave. We now have a 2500 square foot facility with a 2000 square foot indoor and outdoor play area equipped with sand, playground equipment, kiddie pools, and of course lots of dogs and humans to play with.

At Dogs At Play we know dogs. We understand dog behavior. We know how to evaluate and "read" a dog. We know how dogs communicate and what is normal and what isn't normal. We NEVER use physical punishment to correct a dog. We understand dogs' needs and their wants. We are gentle, kind, and fair with our visitors. We are here to enrich your dog's life and hopefully yours as well.

Every dog that visits us is evaluated to make sure he or she is a candidate for group play. If at any point a dog no longer fits in with this situation we will turn the dog away. Our goal is to keep Dogs At Play a safe and fun place for all our visitors.
